Shaid afridi become second cricketer to have scored 10,000+ and took 500+ wickets

boom boom hitting sixer
Afridi reaches another milestone! Everyone knows Shahid Afridi is an explosive batsman, a wicket-taking bowler and an excellent fielder. But did you know that Afridi has now added a feather to his already full hat? With this, he becomes the second-best all-rounder in the history of cricket. In the match against Australia on Monday, Shahid Afridi scored an all-new record. He became the second player ever to have scored 10,000 runs and, also take 500 wickets in international cricket. The landmark record was achieved after he got rid of Glenn Maxwell, who was going on pretty strong when he was scalped by Afridi. The swashbuckling Pathan now has 10,407 runs and 501 wickets to his credit. He got to the mark in 477 matches. The only other player to have achieved that record, and that too before Afridi is retired South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis, who has 25529 runs and 577 wickets to his name. This is the breakup of wickets scalped by Afridi: while he has 48 wickets in 27 Tests, he has 378 in 378 One-day Internationals. As far as the shortest format is concerned, Afridi has 75 wickets in 72 Twenty20 Internationals. Looks like no one is beating Afridi at this latest record, at least for the time being! The player who comes closest to it is the monstrous Chris Gayle from West Indies, who has 244 wickets, a good distance away from Afridi. Not just this, in the same match Afridi got yet another landmark. He also became the fourth Pakistani bowler ever to have taken 500 or more wickets. The others in that elite list are Wasim Akram with 916 wickets, Waqar Younis with 789 wickets and Imran Khan with 544 wickets. A true all-rounder indeed! That’s Shahid Afridi for you!

Getting married in Germany

Getting Married in Germany If a couple plans to get married in Germany, it is recommended to start with the legal formalities as soon as possible (for example, in some regions - 6 months early) because a number of legal issues, such as previous marriages, can create a hassle. There will be local requirements depending on where in Germany you are getting married. Some important issues:
to check local embassy and the local magistrate's office (Standesamt); to apply for what documentation is needed (usually: a birth certificate (with the stamp), a passport stamped with proof of residence (Aufenthaltserlaubnis);
a health certificate; a statement of parental consent (if a party is under 18); a certified translation (Apostille) of all the documentation if it is not in German provided by the Deputy Secretary of State;
a single certificate (Ledigkeitbescheinigung), proving that there are no impediments to the marriage as both bride and groom are single; in case of previous marriages to present either a death certificate for the former spouse or proof that the marriage was permanently dissolved by divorce; Important to note: A simple divorce decree from an American or British court is usually not enough. A statement to this effect from the court that granted the divorce is needed. If one will be having a church ceremony after the official wedding, baptism certificates and a
Certificate of Dismission are needed; it allows to get married outside of one’s county if one is
Catholic. For same sex marriages, this is allowed in Germany. In Germany, gay couples have pretty much the same rights as heterosexual couples do. Cousin marriages are also allowed in Germany. It can be difficult for non-German citizens to get married in Germany. The best way to go about getting married in Germany is to have a professional wedding agency arrange it for you. Wedding agencies are aware of all the requirements and can take a load of added stress off of you.
In Germany, one can’t just get married in a church and be legally married. Everybody getting married must first appear at a
Standesamt for a civil ceremony. The great majority of couples go no further. Once the marriage is legal, then one may have the ceremony in a church. Quite a few Muslims,
Jews and atheists get married at the registrar's office to avoid the Christian traditional procedure. The cost of the Standesamt wedding ranges from €30 to €75 and the ceremony usually is
conducted in German, so one may need a presence of an interpreter. Though, the cost of getting married in Germany depends on the financial status of the couple. It should be noted, that the wedding rooms are usually nice, they are usually located in one of the community's finer buildings. The
right atmosphere is created with flowers, subdued lighting, oil paintings and deep carpeting. Germany has many magnificent
cathedrals, palaces and castles that offer wedding arrangements. In large cities there are some special agencies, renting out the clothing necessary for the wedding and all the attributes needed Wedding coaches, drawn by four white horses, are also available as well as antique cars, limousines and the like. There are services dealing with the organization of the
wedding holiday, taking into consideration one’s will and possibilities.

Sri Lanka bowled out the Netherlands for the lowest total in twenty20 international history

Sri Lanka bowled out the Netherlands for the lowest total in Twenty20 International history before thrashing them by 9
wickets in the Super 10 tie of the World Twenty20 on Monday.
The 2007 and 2012 finalists made the quickest ever chase with 90 balls remaining to considerably boost their net run rate after skittling the Dutch out for 39 in 10.3
overs. Sri Lanka lost opener Kushal Perera (14) who lobbed Ahsan Malik for a catch at mid-on before Mahela Jawawardene (11) and Tilakratne Dilshan (12) polished off the total in just five overs to pick up their second victory in Group 1.
The Netherlands, who slayed both
Zimbabwe and Ireland en route to a famous entry into the Super 10s, were brought crashing down to the earth at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
Only Tom Cooper got into double figures as the Associate Nation received a harsh wake-up call after their heroics against Ireland
ast Friday when they chased down 190 in 13.5 overs.
Their batsmen lacked the application and aptitude and had no answer to the seam of Angelo Mathews and Nuwan Kulasekara
with the new ball as they slumped to 1-3. After sent in to bat, the ambitious Dutch side had a nightmare start when they were
reduced to 9 for 4 in four overs.
This was the shortest innings in
international T20 history as well.
Stephan Myburgh (0) gave his side the worst start in the first over when he slogged at Kulasekara's third ball slicing it to the backwards point boundary, where
Lasith Malinga pouched a comfortable catch.
Mathews, from the reverse end, wreaked havoc on the Netherlands top-order sending
back Michael Swart (0) and Wesley Barresi (1) in successive balls in his first over. He was adjudged man of the match for obliterating the Dutch top order.
A power cut after that paused the game for some time.
As the lights were back and play resumed, the top Sri Lankan allrounder continued making inroads in his second over to trap
Peter Borren in the front for the third Dutch duck.
After adding 16 runs for the fifth wicket, the highest partnership of the innings, Ben Cooper (8) ran himself out to hasten their descent on 25 for 5. Cooper topscored with 16 before being trapped leg-before by Ajantha Mendis. Malinga made a double strike in the 10th over, getting rid of Logan van Beek (1) and Mudassar Bukhari (4) in his second.
In the next over, Mendis landed another Sri Lankan twin strike to send back Pietar Seelar (3) and Ahsan Malik (0). Mathews and Mendis bagged three wickets
each. Malinga picked two and Kulasekera one.
Sri Lanka came into the match with a close victory over South Africa by 5 runs.
Sri Lanka now lead the Group 1 table with four points with two wins. The islanders will take on England in their third match
on Thursday (March 27).
The Dutch will face South Africa earlier on the same day. Both the Group 1 matches will be held at the Chittagong.

New Zealand skipper Brendon mccullum became the highest individual scorers and scored first triple century for New Zealand

New Zealand skipper and wicketkeeper opening batsman Brendon McCullum has become the first New
Zealand batsman to score a triple century in
Test cricket. McCullum achieved the
monumental feat against India in the second
Test in Wellington on February 18, 2014.
McCullum was on 298 when he played a late
cut for a four to brake Martin Crowe ‘s New
Zealand record of 299.
McCullum began the day on 281 with New
Zealand at 571 for six. McCullum had already
become New Zealand’s second highest run-
scorer in an innings. He beat Stephen
Fleming ‘s 274 not out against Sri Lanka in
2003. Crowe had scored 299 against Sri Lanka
in 1991. McCullum had scored a double
century against India in the first Test in Auckland.
He made Indian bowlers toil and he raced his
way past the 300-run mark - the highest
individual score by a Kiwi - on Day 5 of the
second Test against India in Wellington.
McCullum's 300 came in the opening session of
play on Tuesday and at a time when his team
desperately needed a big knock to save the
match. The 32-year-old Kiwi skipper reached
the landmark in 557 balls and his innings
included 32 fours and 4 sixes.
McCullum had dominated for most part of Day
three and four with powerful shots all around
the Basin Reserve stadium. It was not just
about aggression however.
McCullum's knock epitomized maturity and he
was smart enough to respect the good
deliveries - avoiding unnecessary risks. He
however did show his sublime class each time
he crossed a landmark. While he had
completed his century on Sunday by
dispatching Ishant Sharma for a six, he
reached his 200 with a firm flick of the pads
off Zaheer Khan in Monday's second session.
This was his third score of two hundred or
more in Tests, all of which have come against
India.
McCullum found a reliable partner in Bradley-
John Watling who was willing to stick it out in
the middle. The duo added a record 352 runs
for the sixth wicket before Watling was
removed by Mohammed Shami.
McCullum though had luck on his side as he
was given a couple of lifelines through the
course of his innings. Dropped twice - by Virat
Kohli and Ishant Sharma, the Kiwi made the
most of this opportunity to get a big score
which was what his team needed after staring
at a first innings deficit of 246. From 94/5,
McCullum crafted a brilliant fight back to leave
the Indians too stunned to look like the second
best Test side in the world.
McCullum's innings ended two balls after
reaching the milestone when he fell to Zaheer
Khan for 302. By then, he had taken the game
well beyond India.
New Zealand declared at 680/8 and set India
435 to win. Virat Kohli hit an unbeaten 105 as
India ended the day at 166/3. The match was
drawn and New Zealand won the series 1-0.
