The player who comes closest to it is the monstrous Chris Gayle from West Indies, who has 244 wickets, a good distance away from Afridi. Not just this, in the same match Afridi got yet another landmark. He also became the fourth Pakistani bowler ever to have taken 500 or more wickets.
